The Buffalo Bills had their name thrown out on wavier wire at the start of it in 2026.
On Monday at noon, all 32 teams across the NFL has the opportunity to place claims on players. It's an opportunity for a team to add to their 53-man roster after cutting down their roster just one day prior.
But teams have different priorities. Teams can put in claims on players in the same order as the recent 2026 NFL Draft, so Buffalo was listed down at No. 26.
As the day came and went, the Bills did not put in a claim for any player--Potentially because of the Bills' standing being so low.
However, the Bills' name was involved in the day because of the team at No. 6: The Cleveland Browns.
The Browns went on to claim one of Buffalo's 10 draft picks from this
past spring: Cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. He was selected in Round 7 by the Bills and likely would've been added to the practice squad in Buffalo... but the Browns pounced on the chance to take him.
And the Browns admitted that the joint practice the Bills and Browns had in recent weeks had something to do with it.
