Khalil Shakir only needed one catch to stand out Monday night. And he outran everybody in the process.
With DJ Moore and Josh Palmer out due to injuries, the Bills needed someone to make plays against the Los Angeles Rams. Shakir was among those who delivered, going big on the team's first overtime possession.
In a game where Buffalo generated some NFL Next Gen Stats, Shakir got some of his own thanks to a 52 yard gain after the catch play and reached a speed of 21.89 mph. No ball carrier has been faster this season.

Buffalo averaged 16.3 yards after catch per reception (YAC), more than five yards better than any other team's game this season.
Shakir, one of the team's best YAC receivers, finished with three catches for 80 yards. The 57-yard gain ended when Kamren Kinchens tripped him up just outside the red zone.
James Cook fumbled on the next play, but Greg Rousseau blocked a Rams field goal and Tyler Bass won it 37-34 with a 45-yarder.
The Bills are 4-1, and Shakir gave them the fastest play in the league to get there.
Next up, Buffalo faces the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 4:25 p.m. ET.
