The Buffalo Bills have signed wide receiver Greg Dortch now that the dust has settled from roster cut-down day ahead of the 2026 NFL season.
Dortch, 28, has appeared in 68 games and made 17 starts in his eight years in the league. The wideout has hauled in 145 career passes for 1,310 yards with 10 touchdowns.
However, most in Buffalo are excited about his ability to return punts. It remains to be seen what happens, but what is certain, he is now on the Bills and Dortch said even he is surprised by that.
"I've been through that situation before, just getting cut or released but this one was a little different," Dortch said. "This one kind of caught me off guard."
On Sunday, Dortch was among the final cuts by the Detroit Lions as they trimmed their
roster to 53 players. The Bills did the same this weekend but made room to add Dortch.
Dortch sounded grateful to be with the Bills, but Buffalo head coach Joe Brady noted that Dortch will not be handed anything with his new team.
"We have a healthy group of guys that can go out there," Brady said. "Still don't play for two week so that's going to be part of the process."
