There were social media rumors circulating regarding Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver in recent days that were awful to report. As it turns out, they were true.
The Bills have listed Oliver as injured in recent days. It turns out it is a personal issue.
Ahead of his eighth NFL season, Oliver and his family are mourning the death of his 2-year-old son in a drowning at the family's home.
The team confirmed the news Saturday morning with a statement from general manager and president of football operations Brandon Beane:
In incident took place in Texas and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Facebook post just before 10 p.m. June 28 that a toddler had been found unresponsive in a pool earlier that evening. The toddler was taken
to a local hospital, where the child was pronounced dead.
