Injured players don't usually speak ahead of games in the NFL. Head coaches always do.
Ahead of the Buffalo Bills (3-1) facing the LA Rams (2-2)on "Monday Night Football" in Week 5, the injury status of wide receiver DJ Moore is unclear.
Moore re-injured a shoulder injury
against the New England Patriots during Buffalo's last game. Some have speculated that Moore could benefit in the long term if he takes a game off.Could Brady decide to do that? Often coy when speaking about injuries, Brady did not give a direct answer. However, he did note on Thursday that Moore will have a say in that choice is made.
"DJ’s a competitor," Brady said. "I think we owe it to him."
Since the game is not until Monday, final injury reports will not come out until Saturday
instead of the usual Friday when the team plays on Sundays. It feels as if Moore will be labeled as questionable to play, so we might not know whether or not Moore will play until game day.
Brady's full comments on Moore can be found in the clip below:
Joe Brady says DJ Moore has a chance to play vs Rams: “DJ’s a competitor.. He’s going to do literally everything he can to be out there.. We owe it to him, if he feels he can play.. then we’re gonna roll with that.”
