Dion Dawkins isn't hiding it -- he's a big Call of Duty guy.
The Buffalo Bills star tackle is an avid Call of Duty player, which is perfect considering the game's newest release, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was just released during the Bills' bye week. The 32-year-old offensive lineman didn't hide the fact that a lot of Bills players will play their game in their off time and said that star quarterback Josh Allen is a big "COD" guy.
"I'm gonna give you a fun gem," said Dawkins in a one-on-one interview. "There's different things, and it happens through seasons during bye weeks, video games. As a bye week right now for you, you have all type of things that persuade a lot of things. Call of Duty will take a lot of time away from a lot of things. So
your schedule will drastically change through the season because Call of Duty will adapt some of those hours out of your day, but Josh Allen is a huge Call of Duty guy."
Dawkins said that a number of other Bills players are huge Call of Duty guys and spend a large portion of time playing the game.
"Dalton Kincaid, Dawson Knox, O'Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Alec (Anderson), even Connor (McGovern) plays," said Dawkins. "All of the skinny guys are just guys, and they play. CB (Christian Benford), Taron (Johnson) used to play when he was here. Ja'Marcus (Ingram), myself, even some of the coaches play. And for the fact that everybody play is cool. Not to say that we all sit on the game for 20 hours -- maybe 18 hours out of the 20 -- but everybody adapts time to play."
Head coach Joe Brady just so happens to be around the same age range as his players with Brady recently turning 37 years old. When asked if Brady plays COD, Dawkins isn't sure of his head coach does, but he said he would definitely play with him if the head coach comes out as a COD fan.
"I have not played with Joe Brady yet, but if he does, you will be the first person that I tweet or tell that me and Joe Brady just had a had a 20-kill game," said Dawkins while smiling.
The five-time Pro Bowl is partnering with Polaris and Call of Duty for the release of the game. Polaris features its off-road vehicles in the game and has done so for a number of years.
"Polaris is continuing to be adventurous," said Dawkins. "They're continuing to be open. They're continuing to be different. They are part of the Call of Duty. And with Call of Duty, you run around with your friends. You have a good time, you jump in Polaris's, you run people over, you team up. You ride around the map, you explore, you get out, you put skins on it. You modify it, you just have a good time. So me, what I'm doing, I am just being Dion, and Polaris is being great, and together we're family."
