The Buffalo Bills are embarking on more than just any Thursday Night Football this week.
In Week 2, the Bills (1-0) welcome the Detroit Lions (1-0) to Orchard Park for their 2026 home opener. However, this one is a one-of-a-kind first game of the year: It's a new chapter in Bills history as the team will play their first game at the new Highmark Stadium.
The Bills locker room is well aware of the occasion, and like every fan, will be letting the moment sink in.
"I want to play into it a little bit. I think it’s going to help the level of play a little bit," offensive lineman Spencer Brown said. "It only happens once, go out there and enjoy it.
But new head coach Joe Brady said it best. He said fans earned it.
"It's going to be outstanding energy.
The city Buffalo, it's a night they deserve," Brady said.
