The Buffalo Bills made a pair of roster moves on Thursday, including signing a former high draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers.

The Bills signed wide receiver Dante Pettis and waived WR Jalen Virgil. The team announced the news:

Pettis was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He has played seven seasons in the league for the 49ers (2018-20), the New York Giants (2020-21), Chicago Bears (2022) and New Orleans Saints (2024-25). He recorded 127 receiving yards last season with the Saints.

Virgil has played in two seasons in the league, for the Denver Broncos in 2022 and Buffalo

Bills in 2024. He signed a one-year, $1 million futures contract with the Bills for the 2026 season in February prior to being waived by the team.

Pettis will get the chance to vie for a spot on the Bills’ 53-man roster in training camp prior to the start of next season.
