Another game, another set of injuries. Welcome to the New York Giants' 2026 season.
On Monday, head coach John Harbaugh gave some generic updates on the three key players who left Sunday's 27-27 tie with the Commanders in Washington.
"Yeah, the three main guys are going to be day-to-day this week. They'll have a chance for the game. We'll just have to see how it goes throughout the course of the week," he told reporters.
In addition, Harbaugh said, "We'll see" when asked about opening the return window for cornerback Paulson Adebo, who was placed on injured reserve (IR) on September 18 with a knee injury.
Eluemunor's injury was initially thought to be a serious one. He told trainers that he felt a "pop" in his calf. It turns out he may have escaped
major injury after an MRI showed no long-term damage. He could still miss a few games. If he does, Marcus Mbow will get the call.
On the injury front: John Harbaugh not eager to provide many details as expected when asked about Jermaine Eluemunor, Tyler Nubin and Colton Hood. Says they're all "day to day" and gives them a chance this week.

Meanwhile, left tackle Andrew Thomas continues to battle through injury.
"I think he's doing a really good job of just playing through whatever he's got. I mean, guys have things this time of year. He's doing a great job. He's so tough. Got the Purple Heart last week," Harbaugh said, describing one of the awards given to players playing through injury.
"He's playing at a high level. I mean, it may be laboring for him, but still the result is better than almost every player in the league at that position. So, I feel like he's playing at a really high level still. Doing a great job. Just tough as nails. Nothing but respect for him. And I'm sure he'll work through it, and hopefully he'll even feel stronger every week. But we'll just have to see how that goes day to day, week to week."
The Giants will return to practice on Wednesday, the first day official injury designations for Week 6 will be given.
