How do the New York Giants stack up against the rest of the teams in the NFL with just under a month to go until the start of the 2026 NFL season?
DAZN’s Jason Abbey has the Giants at No. 23 overall in his NFL power rankings prior to the start of the 2026 NFL season.
I'm looking forward to seeing the quartet of Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo, Malik Nabers, and Isaiah Likely on the field together.
And that's before we even get into how the offensive line, with Andrew Thomas and rookie Francis Mauigoa, is poised to reach a new level in 2026.
Things are looking up on defense too, where Abdul Carter and Brian Burns are joined by Arvell Reese and Colton Hood, giving Harbaugh's group a chance to surprise.
The Giants took strides to make up for their losses
in the open market this offseason. Despite losing their preseason opener to the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 13-10, several players showed promising signs in the matchup.
The Giants are a dark horse candidate to win the NFC East in 2026, but several things still need to go their way. Jaxson Dart must prove his consistency and polish at the quarterback position, the team’s other offensive weapons must produce around him, and the defense must show its prowess without Dexter Lawrence.
Only then can the Giants become a true force capable of making a playoff run in 2026.
