Green, 27, was a third-round pick out of Illinois in the 2021 NFL draft (87th overall) by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started 15 games as a rookie but then did not appear in a game in 2022.

Green then played two seasons for the Houston Texans and last season with the Cleveland Browns, primarily as a backup.

The Giants have sought depth at center all year, as John Michael Schmitz has not developed as they hoped.
