John Harbaugh's first game as New York Giants head coach produced mixed emotions on a warm Saturday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
The Giants led the Minnesota Vikings 10-3 at halftime behind a precise touchdown pass from Jaxson Dart to rookie Malachi Fields and a 46-yard field goal by Ben Sauls. Odell Beckham Jr. returned to a standing ovation and recorded his first catches with the team since 2018, giving the home crowd an early reason to cheer.
Yet the second half brought familiar frustration. Penalties and two interceptions from the backups allowed the Vikings to rally for a 13-10 victory.
With several starters resting and the outcome decided in the third quarter, attention quickly shifted from the scoreboard to the reaction of the fan base
