The New York Giants are hoping to usher in a new era following the addition of an entirely new regime entering the 2026 season, and they'll be doing so with a roster mixed with experience and youth.
New head coach John Harbaugh has been around the block so there's no reason to think he can't handle a young group of players looking to make a name for themselves while also managing the personalities of players who have been in the league for years.
According to Spotrac, theaverage age of the 53-man roster for the Giants is 26.7 years old, ranking right in the middle of the league at No. 14. Granted, there are 12 teams with an average roster age between 26.6-26.8 so Big Blue is right in the middle of a large group.

The offense is relatively young, especially the core pieces. Quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo both enter their second seasons while star wide receiver Malik Nabers is going into his third campaign in the NFL.
Even tight end Isaiah Likely, who is 26 years old, can be considered on the younger side for his position given that the prime for tight ends is typically found in the mid-to-late 20s.
On the defensive side of the ball, veterans like edge rusher Brian Burns, cornerback Greg Newsome II and safety Jevon Holland should provide some strong leadership for a young group of players including linebacker Arvell Reese and edge rusher Abdul Carter.
The Giants seem to be a wild-card team entering the 2026 season, and it will be interesting to see how this mix of veterans and youth impact the campaign.
