Tisch no longer holds any ownership stake in the franchise. He and his siblings, Jonathan and Laurie Tisch, transferred their remaining shares into trusts for their children earlier this year. The move, first requested in March and later approved by the NFL, left the family without direct ownership interest.
Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed
in April that the Tisch siblings were no longer owners. Carolyn Tisch Blodgett, Steve Tisch’s niece and a strategic advisor to the family’s ownership group, said last month that the transfers were complete.
Despite the change, Tisch retains his titles as the team’s executive vice president and chairman of the board. Giants co-owner John Mara also attended the meetings.
The ownership transfer occurred against the backdrop of scrutiny over Tisch’s past association with Jeffrey Epstein. Documents released by the Department of Justice early in 2026 included 2013 emailsshowing correspondence between the two about adult women, as well as movies, philanthropy, and investments.
Tisch issued a statement expressing deep regret, noting that he never visited Epstein’s island or accepted certain invitations. The NFL reviewed the matter under its personal conduct policy and found no violation. Goodell indicated the league did not intend to pursue disciplinary action.
Tisch has remained involved with the organization under his retained titles. He was present in the Giants’ draft room during the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, an appearance the team described as consistent with his role as chairman.
His attendance at the latest ownership meetings further illustrates that his formal connection to the franchise and the league has continued after the family stake was placed in trust.
