New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is inching closer to the start of the 2026 NFL season with high expectations to take the next step in his career.
Dart has the potential to emerge as an elite fantasy football quarterback in 2026 and serve team managers well in their pursuit of winning their leagues. But will he make good on those expectations and turn that potential into reality?
ESPN’s Michael F. Florio named Dart a potential league winner in fantasy football for the upcoming season.
In 12 games as a starter last season, Dart averaged 20.13 fantasy PPG, the fifth-highest average ever for a rookie QB. He did so despite losing top receiver Malik Nabers early on and undergoing a midseason coaching/playcaller change. I expect Dart to continue
to run at a high rate, which gives him a high fantasy floor and ceiling, and with Nabers and Cam Skattebo healthy, he has better pieces around him than he did last season. His play style might scare some, but his ADP is low enough where you can take him and another QB such as Jared Goff, Jordan Love or Baker Mayfield.
It's reasonable to expect Dart to throw for more than 3,500 yards and rush for more than 500 yards in 2026. His offensive line is much stronger, and his receiving corps has the weapons he needs at all three levels of the field to excel this season.
Malik Nabers can be a go-to option wherever Dart looks. Isaiah Likely is a reliable target in the short and intermediate passing game. Malachi Fields offers a deep-ball threat.
A big year appears to be on the horizon for Dart, which could benefit many fantasy football team managers on their way to a league championship.
