The New York Giants have re-signed wide receiver Dalen Cambre to the practice squad after he cleared waivers.

Nice Week 1 pay bump for Cambre staying ready in case a spot on the game day roster opened up Sunday.
Cambre was signed to the 53-man roster Saturday from the practice squad to fill the opening created by the release of veteran Darius Slayton. The promotion made him the fifth wide receiver on the active roster, joining Malik Nabers, Malachi Fields, Darnell Mooney and Odell Beckham Jr., and provided a Week 1 pay bump while he stayed ready in case a game-day spot opened.
He
was a healthy scratch for Sunday night’s season-opening win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants waived him Monday, the same day they signed former Cowboys seventh-round running back Phil Mafah to the practice squad.
An undrafted free agent out of Louisiana, Cambre appeared in seven games for New York last season, almost exclusively on special teams. He had a strong summer as a receiver and special teamer, catching all seven of his preseason targets for 79 yards before being waived at the final cutdown and quickly returning to the practice squad.
The latest move puts Cambre back in that same role.
