The NFL fined three Dallas Cowboys a combined $33,409 for Week 1 fouls against the New York Giants, adding a financial sting to a 28-20 loss that New York controlled for most of Sunday night at MetLife Stadium.
Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown was docked $9,527 for a late hit on quarterback Jaxson Dart with 9:32 left in the first quarter.

Dart had already picked up 22 yards on a scramble and was stepping out of bounds when Overshown drove him into the sideline. Officials threw a 15-yard flag. Four plays later, Cam Skattebo scored to put the Giants ahead 7-0. Dart stayed in the game.
Edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku was fined
$11,941 for a facemask with 2:10 remaining in the fourth quarter. The 15-yard penalty helped New York drain the clock and close out the win.
Running back Javonte Williams received the same $11,941 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct after a 17-yard touchdown catch. Williams held the ball toward rookie linebacker Arvell Reese and safety Tyler Nubin as he crossed the goal line and was flagged for taunting.

The penalty pushed Brandon Aubrey’s extra point back to 48 yards. Aubrey missed, leaving Dallas down eight instead of seven.
The night was already physical. An earlier facemask that was not called left Skattebo bloodied, and the running back screamed at officials after the no-call. Dallas finished with nine accepted penalties. The Giants were flagged 10 times themselves.
None of New York’s players appeared on the league’s Week 1 fine list.
