The New York Giants have withdrawn a trade offer of a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick (2028) for Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, reports FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer.
Glazer reported Sunday that the Giants put forward that package but later removed it from consideration. The development comes with the NFL trade deadline set for 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.

The Giants had been linked to Taylor in recent weeks as one of several teams exploring a possible deal. Other clubs connected to the Colts’ back include the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and Seattle Seahawks.
Indianapolis has sought
significant compensation, with reports suggesting the club is looking for a return comparable to the package the Carolina Panthers received when they dealt Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers in 2022.
Taylor remains under contract through the 2028 season. The Colts have shown a willingness to listen on their three-time Pro Bowl running back amid a broader roster evaluation, though no deal has been completed. For the Giants, the decision to pull the second- and fifth-round offer indicates they were not prepared to meet the asking price at this stage.
New York has continued to evaluate options at running back. With the deadline approaching quickly, the Giants appear content to move forward without matching the compensation Indianapolis has sought for Taylor.
Whether any renewed discussions occur before Tuesday remains unclear, but Glazer’s report signals that the earlier proposal is no longer active.
