New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has spent the week after the team's season-opening win the same way he spent the week before it: Extra meetings, extra film, and teammates pulled into the work with him.
Head coach John Harbaugh said on Friday that Dart has had two really good practices as the Giants prepare for Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams. The staff is still finding its weekly rhythm. Dart has made that easier.
“He’s been great,” Harbaugh told reporters. “I feel like he’s had two really good practices, which is pretty normal for him. The guys have been working super hard. He’s a leader as far as that. He conducts a lot of extra meetings and things like that, so it’s been good.”

down a hallway and finding defensive backs and inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds already in a room watching film. Harbaugh said that kind of ownership could not be overstated.
“It’s a point that you couldn’t make strongly enough,” Harbaugh said. “It’s the players’ team. It’s always the players’ team. The players are always the ones out there making the plays. They’re the ones that are going to be out there in the battle.
"And for them to take ownership is really the most important thing because they’re the guys out there that have to do it together. The fact that they’re in there, even on their own, talking through the plays, talking through the checks, getting on the same page, to me that’s really, really a valuable thing. I couldn’t put a big enough price tag on it.”
Harbaugh said the Giants locked in Tuesday and delivered two excellent practices. That standard now has to travel to Los Angeles on a short week.
