The New York Giants (2-1) are preparing to host the Arizona Cardinals (1-2) at MetLife Stadium on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Week 4 matchup will give Big Blue a chance to keep their winning ways alive while the Cardinals are looking to get back on track after losing their last two games. With that, we have another opportunity to look at the potential assets in fantasy football taking place in this matchup.
Players that should be started without hesitation include Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love and tight end Trey McBride.
Here's a look at the rest of the start/sit decisions for this Week 4 matchup.
Start: Giants WR Malik Nabers
Fantasy managers are hoping that this will be the breakout game for Nabers, who has gotten off to a slow start amid quarterback
injuries and coming back from his own injury. Currently the WR68 and averaging 5.2 fantasy points per game, it hasn't been pretty for the star wideout. However, the Giants could get things going offensively against a Cardinals defense that is below average in pressure rate (22.2%).
Sit: Giants QB Jameis Winston
Even in two-quarterback or superflex formats, Winston simply hasn't shown enough to trust him in the starting lineup. His career has shown a quarterback capable of providing big plays, but he simply hasn't looked the part yet this season since filling in for the injured Jaxson Dart. Until he starts to show some life, keep him out of the lineup.
Start: Giants RB Cam Skattebo
Currently the RB21 on the season, Skattebo had a strong outing last week despite the elements, totaling 100 yards on a season-high 24 opportunities. That's the name of the game for fantasy football. Skattebo is coming off a game with a 67% running back rush share and 19% target share. Those numbers are difficult to find at the running back position, so he's a start even against a Cardinals defense that has been tough against fantasy running backs this season.
Start: Giants TE Isaiah Likely
Since his explosion in Week 1, Likely hasn't enjoyed the same production. He's recorded seven receptions on 15 targets for 46 yards without finding the end zone. Those aren't encouraging numbers, but the fact that he's held a 28% target share during that stretch is why he should be in lineups. The tight end position is a difficult one to predict in fantasy football, but Likely is still a startable asset against an Arizona defense allowing the sixth-most fantasy points above expectation to the position.
Start: Cardinals WR Michael Wilson
Since halfway through last season, it has been the Wilson show in the wide receiver room for Arizona. He is clearly the top target in the passing game behind the aforementioned McBride. Sporting a strong 27% target share this season, Wilson is a solid WR2 start against a Giants defense that has been gashed by wide receivers over the last two weeks.
