The reunion between the New York Giants and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been one of the more compelling stories of the offseason. Now that Beckham has made the team — something he made clear meant everything to him — the former first-round pick will turn his attention to making an impact for Big Blue in the regular season.
With the season just days away, Beckham appears to be turning back the clock to his first stint with the Giants. He has returned to the blond hair that became part of his signature look during his early years in the NFL.
"You know what time it is," he told Connor Hughes.
Ultimately, it is what Beckham does on the field that will define how successful his second stint with Big Blue becomes. Still, if dyeing his hair helps
motivate the former first-round pick, it could give his psyche a lift when the games start to count.
The Giants will lean on Beckham heading into the season. They are thin at wide receiver, especially after releasing Darius Slayton earlier this week.
Beckham was a fan favorite during his first run in New York, and his image was a big part of that. He may be trying to relive the glory days of those early years, but fans will care most about whether he helps the Giants win games.
