The New York Giants offense is a unit filled with potential and intrigue entering the 2026 season, and much of that revolves around star wide receiver Malik Nabers.
Coming off a torn ACL that ended his sophomore campaign just four games in, there's a chance the Giants will have their offensive catalyst on the field for the Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. It remains to be seen if that will be the case, but signs point to Nabers returning sooner rather than later.
Due to the injury, Nabers was left out of ESPN's ranking of the top 100 players across the NFL entering the 2026 campaign. Despite his notable absence, one NFC executive reminded readers just what type of impact he can have on the offense.
"He completely changes the [Giants']
offense if he's healthy this year," an NFC executive said, via ESPN. "It might take him some time, but he moves differently than most receivers when he's full tilt."
Even throughout the quarterback turmoil Nabers went through during his rookie campaign in 2024, the former No. 6 overall pick still managed to post 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 games.
It should go without saying what type of impact Nabers can have on the Giants offense. He's a truly elite talent at the wide receiver position, and he provides second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart with a reliable option all over the field.
Whether new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy can extract the full potential out of Nabers remains to be seen, but elite talent typically prevails regardless.
The Giants offense will be an intriguing storyline during the early part of the season and if Nabers is able to come back without any issues, he should again find himself in the conversation among the top wideouts in the league.
