The New York Giants are heading into the 2026 NFL season with a new head coach and a new offensive coordinator at the helm.
With John Harbaugh leading the way as head coach, Matt Nagy takes over as the offensive coordinator following the last three seasons in the same role with the Kansas City Chiefs. The former Chicago Bears head coach revealed what the team's plans are for calling the offensive plays to begin the campaign.
For now, Nagy will be the one calling the plays from the booth, something he hasn't done yet in his career. Nagy also reveraled that Harbaugh left the decision up to him.

While the addition of Harbaugh to the coaching staff has been met with mostly praise, the hiring of Nagy has been a polarizing decision at best. Over the last three seasons, Nagy's offenses have ranked 15th, 15th and 21st, respectively, in points per game.
The Giants offense certainly has some potential, though. Second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart showed plenty of promise during his rookie campaign while running back Cam Skattebo and wide receiver Malik Nabers should both make major impacts in their respective roles.
On top of that, the Giants added tight end Isaiah Likely to the mix following his four-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens as the running mate to Mark Andrews.
There's enough upside within the offense to be excited for the 2026 season, and it will be interesting if a different vantage point for Nagy will make an impact.
