New York Giants fans rank among the NFL’s more disrupted fan bases when Sunday football carries into the workweek, according to a new survey of 2,004 supporters.
A recently compiled Monday Morning Recovery Index weighted Monday recovery spending, tiredness, work disruption, productivity, and recovery habits. Giants fans placed seventh in workday disruption.
One in four (more accurately, 25.4 percent) said NFL Sundays interrupt their Monday at the office, the seventh-highest rate in the league. More than one in 12 have taken a paid time off day after a football Sunday.
Their most common recovery habits are ordering breakfast to-go (35.6 percent), drinking extra coffee (35 percent) and consuming energy drinks (27.1 percent).
Those figures sit above
the league average. About one in five NFL fans overall (20.5 percent) reported work disruption the day after Sunday football, and roughly one in six have used PTO. The typical fan spends an estimated $90.61 on Monday recovery over a full regular season.
Los Angeles Chargers fans led the overall index. Miami Dolphins fans reported the highest work-disruption rate at 45.8 percent.
The survey was conducted in August, ahead of a regular season that opens next Wednesday. Giants fans get their first 2026 test on September 13, when Dallas visits MetLife Stadium for Sunday Night Football.
