The New York Giants will have some adjusting to do next season with their new-look starting lineups.
Pro Football Focus' Gordon McGuinness labeled the Giants' 10 new starters as the biggest concern the team faces for the upcoming 2026 NFL season.
Including Patrick Ricard at fullback, the Giants are projected to have 10 new starters between offense and defense. Given how well they have drafted in recent years, combined with the arrival of Super Bowl-winning head coach John Harbaugh, there is reason to believe the franchise is headed in the right direction.
At the same time, the sheer scale of the roster turnover illustrates just how much work was needed. It would not be surprising if the rebuild still requires another season before the Giants are
ready to make a serious push for the postseason.
Continuity has long been an issue for the Giants. Despite having blue-chip pieces on defense for the last few seasons and impact players on offense, they have not been able to win games commensurate with the talent on their roster.
A new wave of starters, headlined by linebackers Arvell Reese and Tremaine Edmunds on defense as well as right guard Francis Mauigoa and tight end Isaiah Likely on offense, will be responsible for helping New York clean up many of the areas in which the team struggled last season during the upcoming 17-game slate.
While they, along with the rest of the starters, will need to adjust to playing alongside one another, they will have the chance to instill confidence in their coaching staff with winning play from the outset of the year.
