The New York Giants will not face the Philadelphia Eagles with backup quarterback Tanner McKee under center when the teams meet this Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
Instead, it will be Joe Milton III, whom the Eagles picked up from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad three weeks ago after Jalen Hurts (complications due to blood clots) was lost for the season.

The 2-6 Eagles are on a six-game losing streak. McKee has started the last three games after Hurts was ruled out and subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve (IR).
Milton, a sixth-round
pick of the New England Patriots back in 2024 out of Tennessee, has played in five NFL games in his short career -- one for the Patriots last season and four for Dallas this year -- all as an in-game replacement.
Milton, 26, is 6-foot-5 and weighs 236 pounds. He ran a 4.62-second 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine. He presents a more dynamic skill set than McKee for the Giants' defense to contend with.
Last year in the Cowboys' season finale against the Giants, Milton relieved starter Dak Prescott and completed seven of 13 passes for 73 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He rushed four times for 43 yards in the Giants' 34-17 victory.
