The New York Giants released their 2026 uniform schedule on Wednesday, mixing their current looks with four throwback games that lean on the era of the franchise’s first Super Bowl title.
Two home dates will serve as Legacy Games presented by Quest. On October 4 against Arizona and December 6 against San Francisco, the Giants will wear the 1980s-style Legacy Blue uniforms. MetLife Stadium will get a matching overlay those days, with the old helmet mark at midfield and period-style end zones spelled out in block GIANTS lettering.
The Cardinals game will also feature a halftime ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the 1986 championship team.
The Vintage White color-rush uniforms return for consecutive weeks after the bye: at Philadelphia in Week
9, presented by EA Sports Madden 27, and at home against Washington on Thursday Night Football in Week 10, presented by Verizon.
That set is finished with a dark navy helmet that carries the underlined GIANTS script on each side. The Eagles plan to wear their Kelly Green uniforms for the Week 9 matchup.
Both special sets honor the 1980s, when New York won Super Bowl XXI. The all-white Color Rush combination first returned in 2016 during the league’s color-broadcast anniversary. Its jersey uses blue numerals edged in red, a combination the club ran on the road for roughly 20 seasons.
The Legacy Blue look is the uniform the franchise used from 1980 through 1999 and restored in 2022. The helmet is navy with a white facemask and one scarlet stripe down the center. Numbers and the raised helmet lettering follow the period style, and the jersey and pant trim stay in the red-and-blue mix from those years. The collar still carries the words of late owner Wellington Mara: “Once a Giant, Always a Giant.”
The remaining 13 games stay in the current identity. Eight of them pair the modern NY helmet with today’s blue jersey and white pants. The other five use the club’s present white uniform.
