The New York Giants (1-0) are entering a Week 2 matchup looking to keep things rolling against a Los Angeles Rams (0-1) team that has hopes of bouncing back.
Both teams find themselves in the middle of the fantasy football conversation going into the new week. There are several managers facing start/sit decisions as it pertains to this matchup.
Players who should be in starting lineups without hesitation include the following: Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, Rams running back Kyren Williams and Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers.
Without further ado, let's take a look at these lineup decisions for fantasy football going into this Week 2 matchup:
Start: Giants QB Jaxson Dart
Dart is getting close to must-start territory regardless of the defense he's going up against. The second-year
quarterback did it all in Week 1, posting 26.6 fantasy points on the back of 230 passing yards, three touchdowns and 54 rushing yards. The Rams defense should be much better than the Cowboys, but it's not easy finding a dual-threat weapon like Dart.
Sit: Rams QB Matthew Stafford
Coming off his MVP season, Stafford looked out of sorts in Week 1. Much of that could be attributed to the travel plans, but fantasy managers will want to see it before trotting him out in their starting lineups. Against a tough 49ers defense, Stafford managed just 155 passing yards, no touchdowns and one interception. The Giants defense held Dak Prescott in check so the game plan is likely going to be similar this week.
Start: Giants RB Cam Skattebo
Skattebo is probably a must-start in most leagues given the price is cost to acquire him in drafts. He had a solid showing in Week 1, taking 18 carries for 81 rushing yards and a touchdown. We know he can be a grinder between the tackles, but it was a little disappointing to see him go without a single target in the passing game. He's still a start because of his talents as a runner but if he fails to find the end zone, it could be a disappointing outing.
Start: Giants TE Isaiah Likely
The star of the show in Week 1 for the Giants. Likely made an incredible impression during his debut by securing all eight of his targets for 78 yards and two touchdowns. It's been a while since the Giants had this type of weapon in the middle of the field. Given the state of the tight end position overall across fantasy football, Likely is one more solid outing away from being a must-start every week.
Sit: All Rams tight ends
Those who follow fantasy football knew the Rams would feature a heavy rotation at the tight end position. That came to fruition in Week 1. The there was some hope that second-year tight end Terrance Ferguson would break out, he was held without a single reception. Until more information comes to light about this room's break down, it's best to avoid all options.
