Former New York Giants tight end Darren Waller has agreed to a one-year deal with the Carolina Panthers. Waller aims to continue his career as he enters his 11th season in the league.

Waller spent the 2023 season with New York after being traded from the Las Vegas Raiders, for whom the Giants surrendered a third-round pick. His stint in New York lasted just one season. He appeared in 12 games, hauling in 52 catches for 552 yards and one touchdown before retiring in June of the following offseason.
After spending the 2024 season in retirement, Waller returned to the NFL and played for the Miami Dolphins
last season, catching six touchdowns in just nine games.
Waller is far removed from his prime, when he recorded 90 and 107 receptions in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Despite a clear desire to continue playing in his 11th season, the former Pro Bowler will still need to earn a spot on the Panthers' roster.
