New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is expected to avoid the physically unable to perform list (PUP) as training camp approaches, reports Jordan Raanan on ESPN.
The third-year receiver continues recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus injury suffered in Week 4 of the 2025 season, followed by a second procedure earlier this year to address scar tissue.
Head coach John Harbaugh recently expressed optimism about Nabers' progress alongside running back Cam Skattebo. Harbaugh noted both players are rehabbing diligently and on schedule, with Nabers working his way into practice as camp begins.
It's the question that will hang over the Giants all summer: When will Nabers return from his knee injury? The third-year WR is still rehabbing that right
knee he tore in Week 4 last season. The Giants are crossing their fingers he can be ready for their opener this season against the Dallas Cowboys (it's a realistic possibility at this point), but nobody really knows. When and how he returns will be contingent on the progress he makes throughout the summer. As a result, all eyes will be on Nabers, who is expected to avoid the physically unable to perform list.
Nabers spent significant time this summer rehabbing at the team's facility. While he is not expected to practice immediately, the Giants have more than seven weeks until their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
The positive update offers encouragement for an offense eager to reintegrate its standout receiver after a standout rookie campaign and strong early stretch in 2025.
