The New York Giants opened the John Harbaugh era with a tight 13-10 preseason loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
New York seized a 10-3 halftime lead on a Jaxson Dart touchdown pass to rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields and a Ben Sauls field goal, only to go scoreless after the break as Minnesota rallied with a long field goal and a short touchdown.
Several starters sat out as the new coaching staff evaluated depth and rookies made their debuts.
Odell Beckham Jr. returned to a standing ovation and recorded his first catches with the Giants since 2018 in limited action.
