The New York Giants opened the John Harbaugh era with a 28-20 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football at MetLife Stadium, snapping a home-opener drought that dated back to 2010.
New York scored on its first possession and never trailed, converting nine of 11 third downs and holding the ball for 36:40. Jaxson Dart threw three touchdown passes, Cam Skattebo finished the opening drive with a scoring run, and Malik Nabers returned from last year’s torn ACL as the Giants controlled both lines of scrimmage against a familiar rival.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. took just 11 snaps in his return to the
Giants, while fellow wideout Malik Nabers logged 36 snaps nearly one year to the day that he tore his ACL and meniscus. Rookie Malachi Fields led the position group with 50 snaps.
Running back Tyroen Tracy Jr. was limited to just two offensive snaps after his costly fumble landed him on the bench.
Defensively, safeties Tyler Nubin and Jevon Holland were on the field for 100 percent of the team's snaps. Rookie Arvell Reese and veteran linebacker Tremaine Edmunds also logged a full workload.
Rookie cornerback Colton Hood saw just six defensive snaps in his debut.
