Deonte Banks turned a late penalty into the play that ended it, intercepting Jacoby Brissett and returning it 98 yards for a touchdown as time expired to close out the New York Giants' 36-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
The Cardinals had reached the Giants' 8-yard line with 26 seconds left after a pass interference call on Banks. New York broke up the third-down throw, then Banks stepped in front of Brissett's fourth-down pass at the 2-yard line and raced the length of the field for the game-ending score.

It was the second straight week the defense sealed a victory with a takeaway after the opponent had reached the red zone.
"We're just going to keep going until we finish,"
Banks told CBS after the game.
The former first-round cornerback had gone the previous two seasons without an interception. His pick-six capped a recovery from a shaky start, after Arizona scored touchdowns on its first two possessions and led 14-3 late in the first quarter.
Jameis Winston, making his second start in place of injured Jaxson Dart, finished 18 of 29 for 250 yards with three touchdown passes and two interceptions. Malik Nabers caught six passes for 112 yards.
Head coach John Harbaugh singled out the cornerback afterward.
"You know who else came through? Tae Banks! After a crazy pass interference penalty -- I thought you had to touch the guy for it to be pass interference?" he said.
The win moved the Giants to 3-1 and into sole possession of first place in the NFC East.
