After roughly a decade of turbulance, the New York Giants are hoping a new regime will usher in some stability throughout the organization.
Since the Tom Coughlin era ended in 2016, the Giants have been a revolving door for head coaches. In fact, with John Harbaugh at the reins, the Giants have now had seven figures hold the head coach position (including the interim role for Mike Kafka in 2025) since the start of the 2017 season.
It hasn't been an easy road for Big Blue during the last decade, which includes a paltry 44-104-1 record and just one playoff appearance in 2022 during that span.
But the addition of Harbaugh brings some hope, and Giants fans aren't the only ones feeling it. Even former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin envisions
a quicker turnaround than some expect.
"[The Giants] have had bad teams, but I think it’s a good organization. So I think that the fix there is going to be quicker than maybe outsiders might realize," Tomlin said during an NBC Sports conference call Thursday, per Ryan Dunleavy of The Post.

Tomlin knows a thing or two about how organizations ebb and flow. He's also had plenty of experience watching the way Harbaugh operates considering the latter's time spent with the Baltimore Ravens.
The Giants find themselves in a difficult position in what should be a strong NFC East division. With that said, New York finally seems to be boasting a young core of talent that could lead them into the future.
If they accelerate their development under a proven winner in Harbaugh, Big Blue may be able to surprise some folks in 2026.
