New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo has endured a roller-coaster season, particularly over the last few weeks. After being benched for a costly fumble in Week 5, he returned motivated and played a central role in the Giants’ win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.
Skattebo led the team in rushing, setting a career high with 124 yards and a touchdown.
NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt awarded him the Angry Runs Scepter for his performance, continuing a pattern that has made Skattebo a regular in the segment. In just 15 career games, he has now won the honor three times.

NFL Network rules prevented Brandt from showing the play on which Skattebo was flagged for unnecessary
roughness. They were able to air his go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, however, a run on which he broke tackles and stiff-armed Texans defensive back Calen Bullock into the end zone.
After the game, Skattebo was blunt when asked about the penalty. Despite the call, he still finished with a career-best rushing total, the fourth-quarter score, and a 42-yard gain in overtime on the second-to-last play of the game.
Skattebo has built a reputation as a physical, old-school runner, a style that has made him popular with fans. Given the way he carries the ball, he is unlikely to be finished appearing on Good Morning Football’s Angry Runs segment or collecting the weekly award.
