New York Giants offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor found himself at the center of social media attention following Wednesday’s practice.
Eluemunor, who signed a three-year, $39 million extension with the Giants this offseason after a strong 2025 campaign, went viral in a response to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.

Leonard insinuated that running back Cam Skattebo's "act is getting old to his defensive teammates." That comment came after Skattebo got into a scuffle with some teammates during Wednesday’s practice. The back reportedly targeted numerous defensive backs even though the defense could not tackle offensive players.
Veterans Jevon Holland and Greg Newsome II appeared
to take notice of the running back’s shenanigans.
Holland and Newsome both exchanged words with Skattebo after the play. The running back also reportedly hit linebacker Zaire Barnes extremely hard at a time when the defense was not hitting with the same intensity.
Head coach John Harbaugh was not thrilled with the situation and addressed it with reporters after practice.
"He got a 15-yard penalty at the end of practice. Did you see that? Yeah, it’s infectious. It can be infectious the other way, an infectious disease type of thing. We want it to be in a positive way," he said.
Skattebo’s competitiveness has been on full display throughout training camp this summer. The running back is making his presence known in more ways than one ahead of kickoff, but perhaps he has to tone it down a bit.
Either way, Eluemunor insists it has not fractured the locker room.
