New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has been waiting for a breakout game, like the one he had on Sunday, for nearly a year. After missing most of the 2025 season with a torn ACL, Nabers has doubted whether he can return to his 2024 form as a rookie.
No longer. On Sunday, he excelled.

“I knew it was coming,” Nabers said after the Giants' 36-24 win over Arizona, via the New York Post. “Everybody was asking me [how I felt]. I felt good throughout the whole week. I just didn’t want to jinx myself. I was trying to be humble and wait for the game to come to me.”
Nabers is back, and that means the whole package. His legs move fast, and his mouth moves nearly as fast. He usually barks all game,
on and off the field. On Sunday, he was seen yelling at the Giants' sideline several times. About what, not even head coach John Harbaugh knows.
"I don't even know what he was saying because I didn't hear it -- I couldn't hear," Harbaugh told reporters on Monday. "But he's emotional; he's a competitor. I do think that -- he and I talked after the game just like we always do, and one of the things that comes through in getting to know Malik is that he's definitely a high-energy, emotional self-motivator. I think that's kind of how he gets his energy riled up."
That being said, Harbaugh isn't about to buy into any behavior that might be perceived as detrimental to the team.
"If it helps him play better, great. If it gets in his way at some point in time and we think it's hindering him in some way, then I'd like to see less of whatever. We always talk all the time about (it to the) guys. If it's helping us, we want more of it, and if it's hurting us, we want less of it," he said.
"I don't think it was hurting him (Nabers) in any way, whatever that was, and we had a great conversation after and I think I understand that part of him. I'm getting to know him a little better that way. But there's plenty of things to work on for everybody, all of us. So, I'm not too worried about anything like that right now."
Harbaugh has bigger fish to fry as the team's head coach, but he's likely going to be monitoring this going forward.
