The Week 4 matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Chargers could feature two young running backs who are struggling immensely right now. Seahawks rookie RB Jadarian Price and Chargers sophomore RB Omarion Hampton have not met early-season expectations. It could be a fascinating storyline on Sunday.
It's worth noting Price was downgraded to DID NOT PARTICIPATE at Thursday's practice after logging a limited session on Wednesday. Perhaps he won't play at all. If Price does play, he desperately needs a turnaround performance.
Seattle's rookie ball-carrier has fumbled in consecutive contests. He was benched for the error in the Washington Commanders Week 3 defeat. The Seahawks finished with 44 rushing yards, second-lowest in the Mike
Macdonald era.
Price is tied for the league-lead among running backs in fumbles lost with two. The only other RB to lose two fumbles this season? Hampton.
The sophomore back has rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns in three winless appearances. He's averaging a pedestrian 3.9 yards per attempt. Price's 4.3 yards per carry average is better, but the rookie hasn't scored a touchdown yet.
Price and Hampton have been two disappointments at running back entering the quarter-way mark of the 2026 NFL season. We'll see if that changes for one of them on Sunday.
