The lack of a well-balanced offense was a big reason why the Seattle Seahawks were upset by the Washington Commanders in Week 3. Seattle was outgained 82-44 by Washington on the ground. It was the second-fewest rushing yards the Seahawks have accumulated throughout the Mike Macdonald era.
There's legitimate concern going around about rookie running back Jadarian Price. The 32nd overall selection has lost fumbles in consecutive games. Price was benched for approximately two quarters following his fumble against the Commanders.
With questions and uncertainty surrounding the Seahawks' current run-game struggles, could Zach Charbonnet eventually return to rescue them? Charbonnet remains on the PUP while recovering from a torn ACL injury suffered during
the playoffs. The expectation is his return-to-practice window will soon be triggered by Macdonald.
Once Charbonnet returns to practice, he'll possess a 21-day window to be activated. Seahawks fans probably shouldn't expect him back in the lineup prior to Week 6 at the earliest. Nonetheless, the countdown will soon begin.
Charbonnet is the most experienced and proven back on the Seahawks' roster. He's certainly a better option than George Holani and Emanuel Wilson. If Price keeps struggling with ball security, Charbonnet could come back and establish himself as the RB1.
