Is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold one of the most clutch quarterbacks in the NFL heading into next season?
Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon named Darnold as an honorable mention on his list of the top 10 most clutch quarterbacks in the entire league with the 2026 NFL season on the horizon.
”The newly crowned champion has a 110.2 passer rating in the fourth quarter of one-score games in his last two seasons with Minnesota and Seattle,” Gagnon said. “He had some epic late-game performances in victories over the Bears and 49ers in 2024. The overall sample is still pretty limited, though.”
Beyond throwing for over 4,000 yards and establishing himself as an elite quarterback with championship pedigree all within the last two seasons, Darnold
won games for the Seahawks with great play down the stretch. Darnold made the right plays at the right times on many occasions, helping Seattle hang on to leads as well as win games. His work in the year was commendable, and a continuation from the work he did in Minnesota the year before.
