The Seattle Seahawks have need for help on their offensive line as they navigate through early-season difficulties this year, and looking ahead, the 2027 NFL Draft may enable them to select an elite prospect in the first round.
Pro Football Focus’ Gordon McGuinness has the Seahawks selecting Minnesota OL Greg Johnsonwith the No. 18 overall pick in his 2026 NFL Mock Draft.
“The Seahawks used a 2025 first-round pick on guard Grey Zabel, so it's a little aggressive to go back to the well again, but right guard is their only weakness on the offensive line right now,” McGuinness said. “He has played every position along Minnesota‘s offensive line during his college career and has earned a 77.9 PFF run-blocking grade so far this season.”
The pick addresses
a clear roster need, giving Seattle a top-shelf interior blocking prospect who is capable of competing for immediate playing time on the team’s offensive line.
Anthony Bradford’s ongoing struggles make the selection especially logical. Bradford owns a 50.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus this season and has given up three pressures on the year across 50 snaps played. His placement on injured reserve further stresses Seattle’s need at the position.
Johnson’s experience at every offensive-line position makes him a natural fit. He is a player who may be able to unseat Bradford directly or provide immediate stability at right guard, strengthening an offense that needs more consistent interior protection.
