This Seattle Seahawks offense is expected to greatly improve following the aggressive decision to acquire All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson via trade from the Indianapolis Colts. The running game should especially benefit. Nelson's arrival is terrific news for running backs Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price, who are both preparing to return to the lineup.
Seahawks fans expected Charbonnet to make his 2026 season debut versus the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8. Head coach Mike Macdonald ultimately decided he wasn't ready. If Charbonnet makes his debut against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football here in Week 8, it should coincide with Nelson making his Seahawks debut.
The Seahawks also recently triggered Price's 21-day practice window. The rookie
32nd overall selection has missed the required four games on IR. Price is technically eligible to play versus the Bears, but his actual return timeline remains undefined. Whenever he's back, he'll also appreciate seeing Nelson at guard.
Nelson is Pro Football Focus' 7th-best run blocking guard this season, according to their grades (82.3). Meanwhile, the Seahawks have really struggled to run the football effectively. Getting Nelson, Charbonnet, and Price into the lineup together should make a massive, massive difference for Brian Fleury's rushing attack.
