The Seattle Seahawks designated right guard Anthony Bradford to return to practice Monday, according to ESPN’s Brady Henderson, giving him an opportunity to work toward re-entering the lineup after being sidelined due to multiple injuries.
Bradford has been dealing with injuries to his knee and hip throughout early part of the season and endured a stint on injured reserve. His absence forced the Seahawks to adjust their options along the offensive line during his recovery process.
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Friday that Bradford had a “really good chance” to return to practice this week, and also stated the same regarding his chances to play Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs. His potential return figures to give Seattle its familiar
offensive lineman back for a key test against the undefeated Chiefs.
Bradford has not allowed a single sack or quarterback hit thus far this season, but has permitted three quarterback pressures across 50 offensive snaps played. Those numbers provide a snapshot of his performance in limited action before his injury.
The veteran Bradford’s practice designation is an encouraging step toward his return. The team will have the next few days to determine whether or not he is ready to play before activating him for the game in Week 7.
