Safety Ty Okada returned to practice for the first time during the regular season in LIMITED capacity. He suffered a hamstring injury while preparing for Week 1 that’s kept him out since. It would be a sudden recovery for him to participate in full tomorrow and be ready to start on Sunday, especially for a hamstring injury. Hopefully he can have a full week of practice next week and make his season debut in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers.
Running back Zach Charbonnet returned to practice in LIMITED
capacity for the first time since his season-ending knee injury in February. This should inspire and fire up the rest of the RB room, who will all need to fight to keep their role once he can suit up again. They’re not 100% either, though; Jadarian Price did not participate with a chest injury and seems to be trending the wrong way to play, and George Holani was limited again due to his rib. Emanuel Wilson may have his biggest opportunity of his career this week.
Safety Julian Love practiced again in LIMITED capacity with his calf injury. In the team’s press conference today, he said he expected to play this week. He was one of the NFL’s best safeties the first two weeks, and the defense showed just how much they missed him this past week. Look for full participation tomorrow.
Safety Nick Emmanwori, defensive tackles Brandon Pili and Jarran Reed, receiver Rashid Shaheed, and guard Grey Zabel practiced in full again.
