The Seattle Seahawks have an opportunity to build on their win in Week 1 in their upcoming four-game stretch.
The Seahawks will go up against the Arizona Cardinals, Washington Commanders, Los Angeles Chargers and San Francisco 49ers in their next four outings.
Seattle will begin that slate with consecutive road games at Arizona and Washington. The trip to Arizona will test the Seahawks’ ability to establish physicality early, control the pace and capitalize on defensive opportunities. Seattle‘s elite defense gives the team a considerable advantage over the Cardinals, and behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and the play-calling of Brian Fleury, the Seahawks forecast to emerge with a divisional road win over the Cardinals.
The following week in Washington
presents another challenge away from home, but it is also a matchup the Seahawks have an advantage in. The Commanders do have the makings of being a dark horse in the Super Bowl race this year. However, if Seattle protects the football and maintains its defensive intensity, it has the personnel to complete the road sweep and arrive home at 3-0.
The schedule then shifts to Lumen Field, where the Seahawks will host the Chargers before facing the 49ers in a pivotal NFC West contest. Los Angeles has enough offensive talent to make the game competitive, but Seattle’s home crowd and pass rush will give them an edge in the matchup. Not only so, but the Cardinals also upset the Chargers in Week 1, showing that the Super Bowl contenders are capable of being defeated.
The 49ers are the toughest opponent that the Seahawks will square off against in the four-game stretch, and are riding high after defeating the overwhelming Super Bowl-favorite Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. Yet, the Seahawks have all that is needed on offense and defense to pull off a statement victory.
A four-game winning streak will give Seattle a 5-0 record and obviously a great chance to repeat as NFC West champions. More importantly, it will provide the team with a strong foundation for the difficult weeks ahead.
