Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson may be a player who is still worth adding in fantasy football for the short-term despite Jadarian Price having played in Week 3 against the Washington Commanders.
Price got hurt in the team’s 31-7 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2 due to injury. He ended up playing in Week 3, but had a quiet game, going for 15 rushing yards on five attempts. Price committed his second fumble of the season in only three games played in the loss to the Commanders, and has not gotten a sizable amount of carries in the Seahawks’ offensive backfield thus far.
Because of Price’s early issue with fumbles, the coaching staff may continue to employ three running backs in the offense. Wilson figures to be a serviceable
player to monitor and have on the bench in fantasy leagues until Price gets more of a rhythm. The rookie is only getting 9.3 carries per game.
Wilson’s 92 rushing yards in Week 2 after Price got hurt indicate that he was ready to step in when called upon and deliver after Price and George Holani handled most of the carries in Week 1. With an injury in the Seahawks’ running back room or another down performance from Price, Wilson may have games of similar production in him in the near future.
Zach Charbonnet is expected to return at some point this season, which makes Wilson’s long-term value one that is up in the air due to the crowdedness of the depth chart. Nevertheless, for the short-term, he’s worth a look.
