Jadarian Price may see his role in the Seattle Seahawks’ offense reduced next season according to The Athletic’s Andrew Destin (h/t Sleeper NFL), with Destin’s belief that the team may end up using George Holani on third down, short-yardage and goal-line situations next season.
Price is expected to remain Seattle’s primary early-down running back, but Holani’s ability as a pass protector and receiver make him another option to use in the role in question. The move will impact Price’s production in 2026 in the event that it is stuck with as the year goes on.
For now, Holani appears to have a path to a specialized role that will give him consistent third-down snaps. Price’s ability to expand his workload may ultimately depend on how quickly he establishes
himself as a reliable three-down back.
The Seahawks have Price and Holani, along with Emanuel Wilson as their running backs for next season until Zach Charbonnet returns from injury.
