Tory Horton approaches the 2026 NFL season as an under-the-radar player with immense talent and a great amount of potential to become a significant part of the Seattle Seahawks’ passing attack. Opportunities will dictate whether or not he will emerge in surprise fashion next season.
Horton recorded 13 receptions for 161 receiving yards and five REC touchdowns in 2025. He averaged 12.4 yards per reception and had multiple big time plays on the year. His 59.1 percent catch rate showed that he has room for improvement, but what met the eye showed a player capable of turning into a dynamic receiver with the ability to make plays after the catch and operate in all three phases of the field.
Horton has the size, route detail and ball skills to work
in multiple roles. He has sound footwork, and a mesmerizing stride that enables him to pick up yards after receptions. He does not need to be the Seahawks’ primary receiver to make an impact, as exemplified by how much of a scoring threat he was in his limited role last season. The Seahawks’ wide receiver room has space for him to upset the pecking order and make more of a name for himself in 2026.
A strong season will depend on opportunity and consistency. Horton must earn Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold’s trust by getting open more and finishing catches.
Still, his talent and skills are evident. In the event that Horton sees an uptick in targets at some point next season based off of his route precision and catch ability, his regular season production may reflect who he is as a talent more and help him become one of Seattle’s most dependable complementary receivers in 2026, or even perhaps a fixture of the offense.
