The Seattle Seahawks have another winnable game against the Washington Commanders in Week 3. The Commanders will be without starter Jayden Daniels, and have Marcus Mariota under center. The big storyline for the Seahawks is happening at quarterback.
We've identified three potential X-factors for the Seahawks on offense versus the Commanders in Week 3.
Sam Darnold, QB
All eyes are on starting quarterback Sam Darnold. He was a full participant in Thursday's practice. That strongly indicates Darnold will start against the Commanders, replacing Drew Lock, who has done an excellent job in his place. Seattle is looking forward to hopefully getting its star QB back.
Emanuel Wilson, RB
The Seahawks lost rookie running back Jadarian Price to a minor injury in Week 2. Though he appears available
to play in Week 3, he'll likely share a workload with Emanuel Wilson. Wilson rushed for 92 yards via 21 carries in a blowout Week 2 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR
Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been downright dominant. JSN registered 122 yards and a touchdown in the debut win over the New England Patriots, and then dominated the Cardinals to the tune of 155 yards and a hat-trick of TDs. The Commanders' secondary isn't prepared.
