The Seattle Seahawks have achieved an impressive defensive accomplishment, having gone 26 consecutive games without allowing an opposing running back to rush for 100 or more yards on them, the team announced just prior to the start of the upcoming 2026 season.
The streak is not only the longest in the NFL today, as well as in team history, but also highlights the Seahawks’ remarkable consistency against the run and indicates just how much the defense has excelled in recent memory.
Keeping opposing running backs from reaching the century mark across an extended stretch of games is difficult to do in the NFL, and the Seahawks have done so against elite ball-carriers including San Francisco 49ers superstar Christian McCaffrey and Indianapolis Colts
RB Jonathan Taylor, as well as rushers who went for 1,000-yards in 2025, including Tennessee Titans RB Tony Pollard and Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams.
